Why the focus on Career Women?

Why the focus on Career Women?

Many of you that have been working with me and are getting familiar with my work will see that I am starting to change my focus to work with Career Women.  I’ve been asked more than once, why?  And each time here is what I say:
  • Career women are more likely to leave their jobs mid-career – over 1 in 4 in fact.
  • Women are 3 times less likely to reach a board-level appointment
  • Women with children are 3 times more likely to give up their career after a second and subsequent children due to ineffective childcare and support
What does this all mean for modern corporations?  It means that they lack diversity and opportunity.  Women are just the tip of that diversity iceberg, because right behind them are other groups, such as people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual or gender identities, physical differences and neurological diversity.  Until we can break the mold of success being tied to white, male and heterosexual, the more the inequalities based on gender, race and other factors will prevail. The world is a better place when we have success for all of society in all it’s beautiful manifestations.  So I’ve started down that diversity path by focusing on women. I will be offering free training to career women want to get their career back on track in the next few weeks. In the meantime, you can join the conversation by joining an exclusive Facebook Group A safe space to build our collective voice of unstoppable career women.   Three more compelling reasons to join the group are shared in the video below:
