Using Affirmations to Change Your Thinking

Our thoughts create our reality. It would be no surprise to find that we are feeling negative and anxious during the COVID-19 outbreak. It does not take much for our thoughts to get stuck in a negative loop, which greatly increases our anxiety and stress.

There are many ways we can break this cycle. Meditation is one way, where we learn to observe our thoughts without getting sucked into them.  Another way which can be equally powerful is to use affirmations – positive statements that are repeated until the underlying negative thought has been replaced.

The work of Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer and Dr Joe Dispenza has shown the power we have to change our thoughts and thereby change our life.

If you are aware that negative emotions and feelings can cloud your day, or you find yourself in repetitive emotional loops that respond to stress and anxiety by being angry and agitated, then this simple technique will help you.  In this vlog, there’s a simple affirmation for you to try.  You can switch out the words if you feel there is a more compelling phrase that will work with you, just ensure that it is positive and calming.
